Introduction:

Thank you for buying or looking into Annoy-A-Teen! I’ve enjoyed, on many occasions, annoying teenagers at restaurants, theaters and schools.

This app is very simple: you choose a frequency and the mode then click start!

Modes:

There are three main modes of operation: “Continuous,”  “Pulsed,”  and “Random.” Continuous plays a continuous tone; Pulsed plays for a short time then pauses for a short time and repeats (you can choose to pulse quickly or slowly); and Random waits a while, plays for a bit, then waits for a while - all so it’s harder to figure out who’s doing it.

Compatibility & Choosing the best speaker for your device:

If you are using an iPhone 3G or an iPod Touch with a built-in speaker, the built-in speaker works just fine with most of the sounds in this app, though the higher pitches are louder with an external speaker.

However, if you're using either the first iPhone or the first iPod Touch, you can only use an external speaker. Unfortunately, the built-in speaker of the first iPhone is incapable of reproducing these sounds, and the iPod Touch doesn't have a speaker.

What happens if you try to play these tones on a 1st Generation iPhone? Watch the video on the right to find out!
